Personal Shopper for Toys: Baby, Toddler, and Preschooler

Sharing is caring!

Cartoon gift or present for baby, toddler, or preschooler.

As a personal shopper for toys, I specialize in gifts for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I constantly seek the best products to entertain and engage children. Still, they must be developmentally appropriate, age-appropriate toys. It’s not just for Christmas Gifts! I am a personal shopper for toys all year long.

These toys should aid their physical, cognitive, language skills, and social-emotional development. Today, I had the pleasure of working with a client looking to purchase various toys for her young grandchildren, ranging from a few months to five years old.

I thought sharing my experience and recommendations in a blog post would help guide other parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and godparents in a similar situation.

First and foremost, working with a personal shopper allows you to save time and energy. Instead of spending hours searching through isles of toys or scrolling through endless online options, I will do the legwork for you. By getting to know your style preferences, the child’s age, and your budget, I can curate a personalized selection of perfect toys for each child. This saves you time and ensures that you are purchasing items that will be truly loved and used.

Additionally, as a personal shopper, I can access many brands you may not be familiar with, opening up a new world of children’s toy possibilities. Whether you’re looking to upgrade your selections with some high-end pieces or trying to discover new affordable brands, I can introduce you to options that align with your style and budget. I am here to offer my expertise and guidance to ensure you feel confident and empowered in your shopping decisions.

Baby Toys for Christmas Gifts

When it comes to choosing toys for little ones, safety and age-appropriateness are key. This website divides the infant year into four categories: Newborn, Young Infant, Infant, and Older Infant.

While newborns may not need toys, items like a play mat or play gym are still handy. As babies grow, their toy needs change, so it’s important to choose wisely. For babies under six months old, I recommend toys that offer sensory stimulation and help develop fine motor skills.

As babies get older and more curious, toys with bright colors, different textures, and interactive features are perfect. Toys like activity gyms, soft blocks, and musical toys can really help babies develop their cognitive and sensory skills.

Toddler Toys

Let’s talk about toys for toddlers. This website divided toddlers into three age groups: Young Toddlers, Toddlers, and Older Toddlers.

Toddlers are changing and growing quickly during this time, so it’s important to have toys that match their development. I’d recommend a mix of toys that inspire imaginative play, encourage physical activity, and involve problem-solving.

Playsets, like dollhouses or train sets, are awesome for sparking creativity and social skills. Ride-on toys, such as push cars or scooters, are great for developing gross motor skills and physical abilities.

And let’s not forget puzzles, shape sorters, and stacking toys, which are perfect for challenging toddlers’ problem-solving skills and hand-eye coordination.

Preschool Toys

This website has divided preschoolers into two age groups: three-year-olds and four-year-olds. Preschool children need different items than pre-kindergarten kids!

I recommended toys that continue building on their cognitive and physical skills while preparing them for school. Educational toys, such as alphabet blocks, counting games, and shape puzzles, are wonderful for teaching preschoolers basic academic concepts in a fun and engaging way.

Art supplies, like crayons, markers, and paint sets, encourage creativity and self-expression. Board games, such as memory matching games or cooperative play games, are also great for promoting social skills and teamwork.

Open-ended play is critical to cognitive development, and this would enable the child to make personal creations with items like pretend play, building play, manipulatives, and musical instruments.

Personal Shopper Toy Checklist

How Our Personal Shopper Gift Program Works

This program works by providing you with a checklist to help you make the best purchasing decisions. I understand that shopping can sometimes be overwhelming, especially when so many choices are available.

I created this checklist to simplify and find precisely what you want for each child. After receiving your list, I will search through the brands and toys with the highest quality. Like Melissa & Doug, Hape, and Lovevery to name a few.  As often as possible, I will give selections from the products I have used and loved.

  1. Start by selecting and purchasing the Personal Shopper Gift below.
  2. Complete the checklist
    • Child’s DOB
    • Gender
    • Toy Colors
    • Type of Toy
    • Price Range: 0-49, 50-99, 100+
    • Add any other details or questions for the gift.
  3. Send the completed checklist back to us either by email, text, or mail.
  4. You purchase the items from Amazon, wrap, and give your present.

Ultimately, the key to choosing the right toys for children of all ages is to consider their interests, developmental needs, and play preferences. As a personal shopper, I take the time to understand my client’s children and their developmental stages to recommend toys that will spark their curiosity, inspire their creativity, and support their growth and development.
