About Kristine

Hello! 👋 I’m Kristine! I have been involved in the early childcare industry since 2005, wearing multiple hats as an early childhood director, teacher, home daycare provider, child care center owner, and business entrepreneur. My passion for learning continues even after the daycare day ends.

A consistent passion throughout my career has been my love for early childhood toys. This interest began in the early ’90s when my children were young. I spent many weekends scouring garage sales for affordable toys, thoroughly enjoying the hunt for great bargains.

Even after my kids outgrew their toys, I knew parents needed developmentally appropriate toys. I started reselling these toys, started and closed an online toy rental service, and resold toys through Facebook Marketplace.

These days, you can often find me treasure hunting at garage sales, thrift stores, and flea markets. If you see me, please say hello! Additionally, I frequent Wolff’s Flea Market at the United Center in Chicago on sunny Sundays. I continue buying and selling used toys on my Facebook Buy & Sell group.

I cherish the two loves of my life: my grandson, Tanner, and my French Bulldog, Lilo. Tanner, who is in 6th grade, insisted on being mentioned here! He plays the saxophone and has recently taken up cooking. Lilo, my constant companion since I work from home, seems to think she’s another child. Apart from childcare, I have a passion for vegetable gardening and quilt sewing.
